Additional costs and the costs to be paid at the spot
Per holiday home you will be informed about the rental, energy, electricity and heating, linen, cleaning services, any relevant charges for pets etc. You may also be required to pay a security deposit. Formally is the deposit independent of the costs to be paid at the spot. The 'additional costs' table makes it clear if, and to whom, you have to pay any such charges and whether specific costs are included in the rental price. Any security deposit paid on location will be refunded to you upon your departure after any relevant costs incurred on location (also for damages) have been settled. See under Insurance how you are insured for damages to rental accommodations/deposit deduction through OUT! When making your reservation, OUT! can inform you whether a tourist tax may apply. The eventual presented tourist tax tariffs are always indicative because the tariff, set by the local government, is determine on the actual stay date (and not the bookings date). Please take into account that the cost of electricity and heating in colder and/or higher locations may be greater than you are used to. The same is true for larger houses or houses with a swimming pool, sauna etc. Your holiday house is always equipped with duvets or blankets (refer to the description). The tariff for linen is per person/per stay and standard you will get a linen change free of charge for the second/third week. For certain accommodations there might be a obligatory linen change against the mentioned linen tariff. See also our holiday home descriptions and/or confirmations/vouchers or ask us by email/telephone. In Germany, the beds are often made up beforehand. The costs involved are then covered by the 'mandatory' linen rental fee. As a matter of fact, OUT! advises you to always rent bed linen in Germany. The beds are often larger than you are accustomed to, and rental saves you the bother of packing and washing your own linen. For children's beds, you always have to bring your own linen and blankets. The descriptions of the holiday homes sometimes list specific extras for which additional charges may apply.
House rules
Re cleaning services: to avoid (additional) charges, the holiday accommodations should always be left behind in a neat and tidy condition; floors should be swept clean with a broom, dishes washed clean, etc. Please remember that for certain holiday homes beside the final cleaning also a half-term cleaning is offered. This cleaning (optional or obligated) can be included in the price or has an additional tariff. See also our holiday home descriptions and/or confirmations/vouchers or ask us by email/telephone. Please remember not to use any chemical agents in toilets equipped with septic tanks abroad. All house pets should have flea collars and should always be on a leash. Please find out well in advance whether your pet can accompany you outside the country without causing any problems. Please act according to the local rules regarding waste collection: if you offer your waste unsorted, they can charge you the (often) standard costs for the amount of special bags needed. Ofcourse we can not expect from our owners that they will sort your waste after your stay. What else you need to know
Avoid problems or misunderstandings from arising by inspecting the holiday home together with the owner/care taker upon arrival and departure. Please respect the house rules. Remember that some activities depend largely on the season (outside swimmingpools), and that regulations abroad may be different than those you are accustomed to. If any problems arise, notify the owner/care taker immediately and if necessary also notify OUT! (within 24 hours but during your stay!). According to the ANVR-conditions you will have to give OUT!/the owner or care taker the chance to solve shortcomings. Please avoid that your own redressment is limited by concluding that certain things are not soluble. Please leave that judgement to OUT! Daarvoor staan wij 7x24uur persoonlijk standby.
