The cute cottage is at the end of Østmarken, delightfully surrounded by forest. You really feel like you are 'alone in the world'. A nice chic kitchen, spacious sitting area, dining room table for 4. A fine bathroom (a bit old-fashioned compared to the chic kitchen, but okay) with underfloor heating. The master bedroom has a lovely box spring, one of the big reasons we booked this cottage. Next to the master is a small room with 2 single beds. In short, a really nice cottage! However... once you arrive at the cottage and after unpacking everything, you want to go to sleep, and you wake up in the middle of the night, bathed in sweat. This is because there is no ventilation by means of a window in the master! Only a door with a hook, but this opens the door so far that an animal could get in, let alone all sorts of flies and mosquitoes. There is no insect-screen either, in fact. So do you opt for 0 ventilation, or 20 mosquitoes keeping you awake? The 'children's bedroom' is not much better, there is 1 large window that is either very far open or closed. So this one is not properly adjusted/montaged. So the same 'issue' of the zero ventilation applies to this room. This issue sounds not really logical to us, especially considering the house was renovated recently. In the living room, there are good windows with holes that you can adjust the windows with. If those windows were there in the bedrooms, with insect screens, this really would be a perfect cottage. Now we would almost not want to come back because of this, a good night's sleep is also important to me ).... And one more thing: when we arrived at the cottage, all switches and power points were off. Including the one for the heat pump. So it had to be switched on outside, I found out after a lot of Googling. Don't get me wrong: It's great that all the plugs are out. But a manual explaining where to turn everything back on would be nice :) So I had to search for the dishwasher and heat pump for quite a while, never mind older people kneeling down in front of the dishwasher, or climbing on the sofa to try to get the A/C/heat pump on! One more 'warning' before you book this cottage: if you have a dog and you're visiting this cottage before or after summer: bring your own flashlight! The park is very very dark. There is (almost) no lighting in the main streets and the Østmarken itself is super super dark. So without a good flashlight, walking our dog after 9pm felt really unsafe for us (two women). In short, a lovely cottage, really. But still 2 points of criticism, 1 of which is really a big drawback as far as we are concerned. Hopefully this will be looked into, this fantastic cottage deserves it!

Wir hatten einen schönen Kurzurlaub in diesem gemütlichen Haus. Der Garten und die Terrasse sind auch sehr schön. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Die beiden Einzelbetten sind sehr weich, muss man mögen. Herrlich das Schwimmbad, ideal für Kinder, 5min.zu Fuß entfernt.
